Overview
Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with room to grow? Our client in Haverhill, MA is expanding their team and has an immediate permanent opening on their SWING SHIFT. Responsibilities
* Set up and operate CNC machines using blueprints and detailed work instructions
* Select and install proper tooling, collets, and fixtures
* Monitor and adjust speeds, feeds, and tooling offsets during production
* Perform quality checks with calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.
* Troubleshoot machining or tooling issues as they arise
* Maintain accurate production records and follow all safety procedures
* Collaborate with team members in production, quality, and engineering
What You Bring (Qualifications)
* 2+ years of CNC lathe setup and operation experience
* Strong skills in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
* Familiarity with machining aluminum and plastic parts
* High attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Basic computer skills for logging data and documentation
* Team-player attitude in a fast-paced, low-volume/high-mix environment
Physical Requirements
* Able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for 8+ hours
* Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs regularly
* Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools
* Willingness to wear PPE (gloves, glasses, shoes, hearing protection)
* Comfortable working in a machine shop setting with noise and temperature variations
