They have a strong pipeline of work for the next 3 years and are looking for driven individuals with talent to help them deliver these schemes.Job DescriptionThe role is based in and around the Manchester and Greater Manchester area and initially is supporting a key client, providing key fit out and refurbishment works in the social housing sector.Assisting the designated Site Manager, you will support the management team in overseeing all site activities to include the daily management of staff and subcontractors, dealing with the client in the Site Manager's absence, ensuring health, safety, quality and environmental objectives are achieved and supporting the business in ensuring projects are delivered on time, to cost and to first class quality standards.The main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Ensuring safety standards are maintained at all timesAssisting with the management of site teams and co-ordination of site activitiesCoordinating with the site teams and the clientsSupport the provision of progress reportsEnsuring all method statements and risk assessments are appropriate and in place in advance of the worksAssisting in the delivery of safety and environmental management systems and project complianceProviding key support to the wider management team in ensuring project is delivered on time, budget and to the client's satisfactionThe successful applicant:You will be an experienced Assistant Site Manager - who may have had some responsibility as a Site Manager - and be keen to make the next step with the correct support and guidance in becoming a fully-fledged Site Manager. Experience of traditional construction projects including both New Build and Refurbishments is highly desirable, especially in the social housing sector. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to proactively build good relationships with clients and manage expectations.
