PM Shift Yard Team Leader
Location: MSD LTD, Dromintee Road, Hilltop Industrial Estate, Bardon Hill, LE67 1TX.
Hours: 11:00 – 20:00 (45 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
Saturdays: Optional
Starting Salary: £31,000 (6-month probation period)
Role Overview
MSD LTD are seeking an experienced PM Shift Yard Team Leader to organise and lead a busy, fast-paced yard operation handling between 500 – 1,000 pallets per day. This role combines hands-on forklift work with team leadership responsibilities, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the shift.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, organise, and motivate a team of 3–5 yard operatives during the PM shift
* Operate a forklift as required to support daily operations
* Manage high-volume pallet movements (inbound and outbound)
* Work closely with the Shift Manager to maximise operational efficiency
* Liaise with the PM Operations Supervisor and office team to ensure smooth communication and workflow
* Maintain high standards of safety, productivity, and organisation within the yard
Requirements
* Valid forklift licence (essential)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar yard/warehouse environment
* Proven experience working within pallet networks (essential)
* Previous experience leading a small team (3–5 people)
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
* Strong organisational and communication skills
Candidate must be enthusiastic, willing to learn, help and integrate into a well established, friendly team. We are not looking for "job hoppers" - we just require additional support to assist our warehouse team throughout the shift. Candidate hired needs to be reliable and willing to grow with our business.
