Grow Revenue:
* Win sufficient boat building contracts to generate revenue in line with budgeted sales targets
* Further develop the Griffon Marine Shipyard brand
* Meet all customer contracted requirements
* Achieve all contracted project milestones
* Manage acceptance of all project deliverables
Control Costs:
* Manage materials and labour hour budgets to meet gross profit targets
* Actively manage risks which prevent project success
Diversify:
* Manufacturer and deliver profitable marine vessel build projects
Identify Business Opportunities:
* Research and identify new business opportunities, markets, and potential clients.
* Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to recommend strategies for growth.
Lead Generation and Prospecting:
* Develop and maintain a database of prospective clients or partners.
Sales and Negotiation:
* Present the company’s services/products to potential clients and close deals.
* Negotiate terms and contracts with new and existing clients.
Building and Maintaining Relationships:
* Foster long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
* Act as the point of contact for key accounts and ensure customer satisfaction.
Market Research and Analysis:
* Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends and opportunities.
* Provide insights and reports on competitive landscape, market demands, and industry best practices.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
* Work closely with the marketing and product teams to align business development strategies with company goals.
* Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.
Strategic Planning and Reporting:
* Develop business development strategies to increase the company’s market share and revenue.
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of initiatives.
Experience/ Qualifications
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or related field.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Knowledge of market research techniques and competitive analysis.
* Ability to build relationships and maintain professional networks.
* Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
