We are looking for a detailed oriented individual to join our Advocacy Team as a Legal Assistant where you will provide administration and litigation support to the Advocates, also ensuring primarily the best possible outcome for the client, the Advocate and the business is achieved on every case.
Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate the advocates' court and tribunal diaries to ensure effective coverage.
* Allocate work to advocates based on internal guidelines, availability, and client requirements.
* Act as the primary point of contact between advocates, internal departments, and external counsel & solicitors.
* Arrange travel, accommodation, and other logistics for advocates where required.
* Ensure advocates are fully briefed with papers, instructions, and supporting materials well in advance.
About You
To succeed in this role, we're looking for someone who brings a blend of must-have skills and experiences, along with those extra special qualities that can really make a difference to our team and business.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Understanding of procedure and legal framework for serious injury claims, to include those involving motorcyclist, bicycle riders and pedestrians
* Experience and understanding of Part 7 litigation process
* Experience and understanding of PI Portal/Part 8 process
* Experience of working towards deadlines and performance objectives
* High level of organisational skills and ability to move quickly from case to case

Working Hours
This role is Full Time based on 37.5 Hours per week. The Working Pattern for this role is Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm. This is a fully office based role in Byker, Newcastle.
