Reporting to the Practice Manager, this role offers hands-on experience across core accounting functions within a collaborative and professional environment. Accounts Assistant Job Overview Prepare annual accounts to draft level for managerial review Complete self-assessment tax returns and assist with corporation tax computations Submit VAT returns and support day-to-day bookkeeping across various cloud platforms Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients to manage correspondence and resolve queries Conduct variance analysis and support management reporting Maintain financial records with accuracy and attention to detail Schedule client meetings and manage departmental deadlines Enter and reconcile financial data using accounting software Respond professionally to client queries via phone and email Support internal team targets and contribute to shared goals Promote the company's values and uphold high standards of conduct and service Share knowledge to support junior team members where appropriate Actively pursue personal development to enhance technical and professional skills Accounts Assistant Job Requirements Studying towards AAT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent (AAT qualified/ Part qualified desirable) Prior experience in bo...
