Overview
Teaching Assistant – Permanent, part-time position, term time only plus INSET days. 27.5 hours per week, 08:30am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday. Salary: Grade 3 (SCP 4): £25,185 per annum pro rata. Actual salary: £16,254.86 per annum.
John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives – and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appoint talented, flexible and positive teaching assistants to join our evolving organisation, who bring a ‘can do attitude’ to engage with students who need additional support.
Responsibilities
* Provide structured learning support to students under the direction of senior colleagues within the classroom.
* Support students to access the curriculum and achieve better outcomes, contributing to their academic success, behaviour management and social skills.
* Use initiative to assist with learning activities, including Maths and English, and support the classroom teaching team.
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in teaching support.
* Excellent Maths and English skills.
* Ability to work with students, showing initiative and contributing to positive learning environments.
