The School of Life Course & Population Sciences is one of six Schools within the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine at King’s College London. About The Role
We are seeking applications for a Research Fellow specializing in applied global health research, using both quantitative and qualitative methods to enhance health services and outcomes in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The successful candidate will work closely with Professor Krishnarajah Nirantharakumar’s team and contribute to innovative projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, lead, and deliver a £3.8 million NIHR grant on digitally integrated care pathways for managing multiple long-term conditions in primary care in Sri Lanka.
* Advance initiatives to improve care for pregnant women with long-term conditions in LMICs through digital pathways.
* Support projects aimed at improving care for people living with HIV and comorbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, and mental health issues in LMICs, especially in sub-Saharan Africa.
The role offers a supportive environment with specialized training in health data science and global health research. The department comprises experts in global health, data science, statistics, health economics, social sciences, epidemiology, and public health. There are ample opportunities to build networks and collaborations locally and internationally.

Requirements and Expectations
The candidate should understand methods and barriers related to learning health systems and health service research in LMICs, including stakeholder engagement and sustainable impact. The post requires self-management, flexibility, and minimal supervision, with guidance from line managers on regulatory or policy issues. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for two years, based in London.
