About Our Client

Job Description
3. Coordinate with functional areas of the business on projects involving new ventures and one-off transactions to identify and develop solutions for technical accounting issues;
4. Support the preparation of the more technically complex areas of the group financial statements;
5. Utilising financial reporting tools, primarily Hyperion Financial Management and SAP, and automation to drive efficiencies in the preparation and review process;
6. Engage with key stakeholders to plan the month, quarter and year-end consolidation and reporting process; ensuring delivery of the plan to tight deadlines and seeking potential opportunities for improvements;
7. Using commerciality and professional scepticism to understandand challenge financial reporting produced by the subsidiaries and UK business functions;
8. Proactively designing, developing and improving controls and processes and liaising with Business Assurance, Internal Audit and the external auditors to ensure the relevant requirements are met in an efficient and effective manner;
9. Being a key contact for the parent company's financial reporting team and external auditors, ensuring deliverables are provided on time and queries are dealt with;
10. Drafting sections of quarterly financial reporting papers for presentation to the Audit Committee, Disclosure Committee and the Board;
11. Preparation and presentation of monthly close performance metrics and key issues to the stakeholders and Senior Leadership Team members, continually seeking ways to improve the quality and relevance of metrics and drive resolution of issues.
The Successful Applicant
12. A qualified professional (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) capable of numerical analysis
13. Proficiency in use of MS office
14. Strong communication skills
15. Strong team management skills
16. Experience in multinational companies
17. Automotive or manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
