HR Casework Advisor – Town Hall, South Shields (Hybrid Working)
£41,771 per annum
Fixed Term Contract until May 2028
Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑performing environment? This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting Children and Family Services – helping managers navigate complex employee relations issues with confidence and consistency.
Responsibilities
* Providing specialist HR advice on complex casework, including disciplinary and grievance matters;
* Absence management and capability;
* Recruitment and selection;
* Performance management;
* Organisational change and workforce planning;
* Supporting and advising managers at all levels, including up to Directors;
* Designing and delivering engaging training sessions on key HR topics.
Qualifications
* Experienced and confident HR professional with strong background in employee relations casework;
* Ability to build effective relationships with all stakeholders;
* Clear communication and pragmatic, solution‑focused advice;
* Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving service area;
* Ability to influence and challenge constructively.
