Prospero Teaching is expanding its team of passionate and skilled Tutors to support a growing number of young learners who thrive in a 1:1 learning environment. We are currently working with children and young people who require alternative provision across a wide age range-from EYFS to Post-16. You will provide tailored 1:1 support to learners who may have a range of additional needs including: SEN (Special Educational Needs) SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) Anxiety At risk of PEX (Permanent Exclusion)Each learner is unique, and your role will be to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning experience that meets their individual needs. We Welcome Applications From Professionals With Experience In: Nurseries / EYFS settings Primary and Secondary schools Colleges and Post-16 education Alternative provision and specialist settingsAs a Tutor, you will: Deliver personalised 1:1 sessions in line with the learner's age, ability, and needs Support academic progress and emotional wellbeing Use strategies to manage behaviour and reduce barriers to learning Build strong, trusting relationships with learners and their families Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reviews Work collaboratively with Prospero Teaching and other professionals involved in the learner's careAbout you: Have at least 1 year of experience working within UK schools Are confident in planning and delivering creative, learner-centred sessions Proven experience supporting learners with: SEN (Special Educational Needs) SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs) EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) Complex additional needs A nurturing, adaptable, and student-centred approachPosition - Tutor Contract or position start date - ASAP Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A Full time/part-time - Varied Hours - Varied Essential & Desirable Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people Trauma informed- desirableTo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must: Hold right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide references upon request Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
