The School and Role
A welcoming, inclusive primary school in Northampton is seeking part-time SEN Teaching Assistants to work in its dedicated SEN unit. The role is mornings only, Monday to Friday, and will begin in September 2025. The school promotes a nurturing and structured environment for children with a range of additional needs and prides itself on its caring ethos, excellent staff support, and high standards of pupil development. This is a long-term opportunity requiring genuine commitment.
Requirements
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs
A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above preferred)
Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
An understanding of how to support a range of additional needs
A willingness to commit to a long-term role
