Enhance Academy Trust is a vibrant and growing Multi-Academy Trust, currently comprising sixteen primary schools across Wakefield, Kirklees, and Barnsley, alongside a specialist post-16 performing arts free school. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Trust Business Manager to play a key role in shaping the next stage of our development.
This central team position will oversee the Trust’s core operational functions, including finance, human resources, and premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all financial processes—budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and audit compliance—while managing payroll and recruitment in alignment with Trust policies and statutory requirements for a number of schools.
Working in close partnership with Headteachers and Senior Leaders, you will help develop long-term financial strategies, support capital investment projects, and ensure the integrity of financial controls. You will also lead on site development, health and safety compliance, and initiatives that deliver value for money across the Trust.
This is a pivotal role requiring outstanding communication skills, strategic vision, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and operational excellence
We are looking for someone who has:
1. A certificate or Diploma of School Business Management, or working towards this qualification, or equivalent qualification.
2. A qualification or relevant experience within Accounting or Business Studies, or ability to demonstrate equivalent experience
3. Ability to work on own initiative
4. Linemanagement experience
