Our client is seeking an experienced Fleet & Compliance Manager to oversee the operations of a fleet of over 100 vehicles and trailers. The role involves leading a team of 7, including workshop and assistant managers, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and managing budgets, maintenance schedules, and driver performance. The position offers a hybrid work model with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as the named Transport Manager on the Operator Licence, ensuring legal compliance.
2. Manage driver hours, tachograph regulations, and incident reports.
3. Lead internal audits and maintain compliance processes.
4. Oversee vehicle maintenance in coordination with the Workshop Manager.
5. Plan budgets, control costs, and manage supplier contracts.
6. Handle breakdowns, emergency repairs, and coordinate out-of-hours operations.
7. Offer 28-30 days of holiday, based on tenure.
8. Provide employee benefits such as Assistance Programme, referral scheme, and long-service awards.
