Vehicle Technician vacancy in Ashford, Kent
Our client, a well-established family-run business with a heritage dating back to the early 1900s, is looking to appoint a skilled Vehicle Technician. Their workshop, offers a range of advanced mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and electric vehicle work. Duties of the Vehicle Technician include:
8. Conducting diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on various vehicle makes, including electric and hybrid vehicles
9. Working efficiently on complex engine repairs and electrical systems
10. Using computerised diagnostics and modern tools in a paperless environment
11. Assisting with recovery, collection, and delivery work when needed
12. Maintaining high standards of quality and customer service
13. Participating in team activities and support fellow technicians
Specification for the Vehicle Technician role:
14. Proven experience in vehicle repairs, diagnostics, or electrical systems
15. NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications
16. Strong understanding of hybrid/electric vehicle systems is desirable
17. Basic knowledge of electrics and problem-solving skills
18. Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
19. Willingness to develop skills further with manufacturer training
20. Computer literate with experience in using diagnostic tools and electronic documentation
