We are seeking a dedicated Equine Yard Supervisor to lead our equine operations, support learner development, and oversee a dynamic team of instructors and technicians at our well-equipped College facility. Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Equine Centre under the direction of the Farm Manager, ensuring it remains a high-quality resource for students and external clients. Provide effective leadership and line management to the instructor/technician team. Ensure outstanding standards of horse care and welfare for all horses on site. Work closely with vets, farriers, and therapists, conducting routine health checks and vaccinations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date equine records and ensure compliance with riding school inspection standards. Deliver practical teaching sessions, offering high-quality technical instruction and feedback to students to support their learning and skills development. Oversee the smooth running of commercial activities, including arena hire, competitions, livery services, and our small on-site thoroughbred stud. Manage paddock and grassland care, implement effective field plans, and ensure appropriate maintenance across the site. Monitor inventory, raise orders, and maintain stock control systems. Ensure full compliance with college financial regulations and manage administrative tasks related to livery invoicing. Promote high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security across all aspects of the Equine Centre. Maintain accurate risk assessments and COSHH records. Participate in an emergency on-call" rota and work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays. About You: You will have extensive experience in equine management and care, strong leadership and organisational skills, and a commitment to student development and animal welfare. A background in education or training is advantageous.
