An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to lead and develop a primary care team within Prison Health Care at HMP Greenock. Please note this role will share the overall management for service delivery within HMP Greenock reporting directly to the Service Manager for Prison Health Care
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate an ability to work at both an operational and strategic level to support development for this team.
Essential Criteria
1st Level Registered Nurse who can demonstrate (with evidence) skills in the following area • Custodial settings or
• A minor injuries unit or
• Accident & Emergency or
• Drug and Alcohol Services or
• Treatment Room
• Can demonstrate ability to manage a caseload in one of the above areas
• Can demonstrate ability to effectively lead a team
• Significant post-registration experience of using specialist assessment skills and techniques to determine health and care needs, particularly when working with clients/patients who may, for example, have mental health issues, learning disabilities, language barriers, be under the influence of illicit substances, have chaotic lifestyles etc
• Ability to work within a team environment and autonomously using initiative.
• Have an ability to communicate with other professionals and disciplines.
• Ability to react clinically and professionally in a changing and challenging environment.
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Registered as a V300 practitioner or currently working towards V300 certification.
• Full Driving Licence.
