Softcat's Service Architecture team is an integral part of our Services Business. Our Service Architects shape and design quality, business-wide services and are the focal point at Softcat for activities surrounding operational service design and architecture.

As a Service Architect, you will focus on designing services for Softcat and our customers, creating service design processes and procedures that meet contractual and operational requirements, while ensuring adherence to relevant service strategies, policies, standards, and practices (including security).
As a Service Architect, you'll be responsible for:
* Creating and managing operational service designs, including process maps, RACI matrices, and supporting documentation.
* Engaging with Solutions teams and Customers to scope and agree on customer-specific processes and interfaces, producing Service Architecture documentation as required by contract.
* Collaborating with internal teams to design processes and integrations for tools and systems supporting our services.
* Contributing to planning for service introduction.
* Supporting governance reviews.
* Ensuring the architecture quality of each service you design is accurate, robust, and well communicated to relevant teams.
* Building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
* Reviewing and improving existing services.
We'd love you to have
* ITIL (v4) certification is required; Lean Six Sigma is preferable, with awareness of other methodologies like SIAM and Agile.
* Experience working within an IT Services organization.
* Contract review experience in operational roles, focusing on requirements and solutions alignment.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to find creative solutions to design challenges.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
* Ability to develop and maintain relationships within cross-functional teams and with stakeholders.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
