The Role
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of SEMO, ensuring the delivery of its core functions, including market operations, settlement, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Reporting to the SEMO Governing Committee, you will oversee the strategic direction of the business, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks and market objectives.

* Overseeing the end-to-end delivery of market operations, settlement, and compliance functions.
* Maintaining robust governance frameworks and ensuring transparent reporting to the SEMO Governing Committee.
* Building and maintaining effective relationships with regulators, market participants, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
* Leading financial and resource planning to align with long‑term capability needs and regulatory requirements.

The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
* Significant leadership experience within the electricity sector or a related industry, with a strong understanding of market operations.

* A degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline.
