Senior Employment Solicitor / Partner (or Senior Associate) – Manchester

Reports to: Head of Employment
Position: Full-time (Hybrid – up to 2 days remote working per week)
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Employment Solicitor at Partner or Senior Associate level to lead and develop the Employment Law practice in Manchester.
This is a senior strategic role, offering the opportunity to build and grow a strong regional presence, supported by a wider national team. The successful candidate will have autonomy to shape the local offering and will play a key role in expanding the firm’s Employment Law capabilities across the North West.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Employment Law function in the Manchester office.
* Advise HR teams, boards, and senior management of corporate clients on all aspects of employment law.
* Represent clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings.
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships and drive business development initiatives.
* Mentor and supervise junior members of the Employment team.
* Contribute to the firm’s broader strategic growth and regional profile.
About You
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 10+ years’ PQE in Employment Law.
* Proven experience advising corporate clients and handling Employment Tribunal litigation.
* Demonstrated ability to attract and retain clients – a client following would be an advantage.
* Strong network of professional and business contacts in the Manchester area.
* Commercially aware, ambitious, and motivated to drive practice growth.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
