Performance Objectives
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor - The role will be split between site and office and will include:
* Supporting cost control and commercial reporting
* Assisting with interim valuations, variations and final accounts
* Supporting subcontractor procurement and account management
* Maintaining cost trackers, procurement schedules and commercial registers
* Contributing to monthly CVRs, forecasting and cashflow reporting
* Attending site visits and project meetings
* Learning contract administration under JCT and NEC forms
Person Specification
* Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or similar
* 1–2 years’ experience in a commercial construction role or relevant placement
* Basic understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts
* Strong numerical and organisational skills
* Confident using Excel and standard IT systems
* Ambitious, proactive and keen to progress within a commercial career
* CSCS card (or willing to obtain)
* Full UK driving licence beneficial
