Effective delivery of technical support and installations. This will include break-fix tasks, hardware, network, cabling, and rack deployments, site planning, problem escalation, and managing installations. Works primarily at an Oracle datacenter in a “mission critical operations” environment. Requires a 7x24-hours commitment to participate in the regional standby rotation program and shift. Involves on-call shifts, which means a driving license and the ability to reach the datacenter site within 60 minutes. Collaborates closely with other technical teams & non-technical teams (networking, compute, compliance, business operations).
Understand internal customer problems and provide technical solutions in a timely manner. Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware and software. Support deployment of on-site data center physical infrastructure, including structured cabling installation. Install, replace, and troubleshoot cables and hardware. Work within a ticket-based environment, able to prioritize ticket queues, resolve escalations, and clear blocking issues to enable continued delivery of technician activities in accordance with internal policies and service level agreements. Be aware of and abide by ticket processes and protocols, including OCI Change Management, board-level repair, and fault diagnosis to SLAs. Use provided tools for proper and timely internal reporting. Plan and commission new rack positions. Involve in the design and commissioning of new whitespaces. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team without friction. Solid knowledge of fiber and copper cabling.
