Job Role: Architect Location: Southend-on-Sea Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE Aztrum is pleased to be partnering with a well-established, award-winning architectural studio located in Southend-on-Sea, renowned for its thoughtful and design-focused approach to residential architecture. As the practice continues to grow, they are now looking to welcome a skilled and detail-oriented Architect to their team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating refined, buildable designs and who thrives in seeing projects through from initial concept to final delivery. Proficiency in Vectorworks and SketchUp is essential, along with a strong technical sensibility. Key responsibilities for this Architect role include: • Lead the design process across all RIBA stages, from feasibility through to handover. • Oversee and support a variety of residential commissions including bespoke new builds, heritage refurbishments, and contemporary extensions. • Engage directly with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in line with the client’s vision. • Prepare comprehensive technical drawings and design documentation using Vectorworks and SketchUp. • Carry out regular site inspections to ensure the build quality meets the studio’s exacting standards for finish and detail. What we’re looking for in this Architect role: • ARB-registered Architect with a fully accredited qualification in Architecture. • At least 3 years of professional experience, with a strong focus on bespoke residential design. • Confident user of Vectorworks and SketchUp; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for designing homes that are both elegant and highly functional. • Sound understanding of UK planning legislation and building control standards. • A team-focused attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for crafting architecture that enriches everyday life.
