At Quest Global, we are looking for LV Schematic Engineer (SME) to join our Energy customer team based in Staffordshire, United Kingdom.

Contract Duration: 6 months
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
* Proven experience (8-12 years) in designing, developing, and implementing low voltage secondary systems for power distribution applications.
* Proficiency in Engineering Base software for creating engineering drawings and schematics.
* Experience as an Electrical Schematics Engineer - Electrical Control & Protection Cubicle Designer & Low Voltage Secondary Schematics & Wiring Drawings Designer.
* Strong understanding of electrical principles, power distribution fundamentals, and low voltage equipment.
* Experience with protective relay coordination, arc flash analysis, and fault current calculations.
* Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes such as IEC, NEC, IEEE, and NEMA.
* Project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities:
* Designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of electrical control and protection cubicles for industrial applications.
* Conceptualizing cubicle design and detailing specifications using Engineering Base software.
* Designing low voltage secondary systems for power distribution, including transformers, switchgear, marshalling, distribution board control, and protection panels.
* Utilizing Engineering Base software to design electrical control and protection cubicles based on project requirements.
* Developing general arrangement drawings (GA) and layout designs for cubicles, ensuring compliance with standards and client needs.
* Collaborating with electrical engineers and project managers to understand goals and integrate technical requirements.
* Conducting feasibility studies and proposing design solutions to optimize space, functionality, and efficiency.
* Ensuring compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and regulations.
* Preparing bills of materials (BOM) and technical documentation for cubicle designs.
* Having a clear understanding of electrical components and their usage in schematics.
* Staying updated on the latest electrical materials in the market to optimize design.
* Supporting manufacturing and installation teams during production and assembly.
* Reviewing and evaluating vendor proposals and technical submissions related to cubicle components.
