The Role
To provide effective support to the Project Manager, ensuring adherence to company and legislative procedures, and fostering strong working relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external).
You will develop your skills towards managing parts of projects with limited complexity, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Your focus will be on completing set tasks and project activities that are core services of Freyssinet.
Accountabilities
* Work closely with the Project Manager to plan and deliver project tasks in accordance with schedule.
* Review plans and drawings under the guidance of the Project Manager.
* Complete routine engineering tasks, including take-offs after project handover, to enable ordering materials and equipment according to specifications.
* Draft and revise:
* Risk Assessment & Method Statements (RAMS)
* Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
* Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow-up on corrective actions
* Work Pack Plans (WPPs) & Task Briefs
* Material approval requests (MARs)
* Set out work on-site.
* Engage with clients and site representatives daily, planning work with the Project Manager.
* Plan daily activities with Site Supervisors.
* Compile site records, including site diaries, photo logs, plant & labor returns, as-built drawings, schedules, ITPs, and quality documents.
* Analyze and track changes to update the contract program weekly.
* Identify issues or changes to the scope of work and escalate as needed.
* Assist in preparing project QSE documents.
* Support project close-out and reporting.
* Conduct weekly safety inspections and promote safety culture.
* Organize site inductions and safety medicals when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements
* A degree in civil engineering or a relevant construction discipline.
* Practical experience in onsite operations, ideally within structural repairs and strengthening (desirable).
* Based in Glasgow with flexibility to work on various civil engineering projects in the area.
