What you will be doing Accountable for minimising risk through rigorous planning, execution, and quality assurance, ultimately ensuring a smooth go-live with minimal disruption to business operations. Drive the adoption of testing and migration automation, promote standardisation and re-usability, and improve transparency into testing and data migration performance. Ensure that Testing and Data migration services are delivered reliably, efficiently, and in alignment with business growth objectives, while mitigating operational risks and safeguarding business continuity. Define and implement the strategy, frameworks, teams, and tools to run an industrialised testing and data migration COE. Test Strategy and Plan Development Develop and own the overall test strategy, including unit, system integration, user acceptance, regression, and performance Define the testing approach, scope, schedule, resource requirements, and success criteria. Establish traceability between test cases and business requirements. Data Migration Strategy and Execution Plan Design and deliver a detailed data migration strategy, including data mapping, transformation rules, validation processes, and reconciliation methods. Ensure alignment of data migration activities with project milestones and go-live plans. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data cleansing, enrichment, and de-duplication rules. Test Case Development and Execution Oversight Lead the creation and review of test cases, test scripts, and test data, ensuring comprehensive coverage. Manage the execution of test cycles, defect logging, triage, tracking, and resolution processes. Ensure all testing artefacts are documented, versioned, and audit-able. Data Quality Assurance and Validation Validate data migration accuracy through pre- and post-migration audits. Coordinate dry runs, dress rehearsals, and mock data loads to ensure repeatability and reliability. Develop data validation dashboards and reconciliation reports to support migration sign-off. Stakeholder Management and Communication Act as the primary point of contact for testing and data migration streams. Provide regular updates, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to project sponsors and steering committees. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business users, developers, testers, data owners, and external vendors. You will ideally have Ideally candidates will be educated to Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or professional equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. You will have a proven background of experience in managing large-scale testing and/or data migration projects across complex enterprise environments Ideally you will be experienced in working in complex hybrid environments (Cloud, on-prem, SaaS) Alongside, having hands-on experience with leading ERP, CRM, or cloud platform migrations (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics). Preferably candidates will have a deep understanding of ITIL, DevOps and Enteprise service management principles. Plus, strong leadership experience in building and managing cross functional teams in ambiguous, high-growth environments. Ideally you will have extensive experience working with business sponsors and stakeholders to translate requirements into IT Testing and data migration services that drive both customer and operational improvement Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing IT services. Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and present complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Certification in project or program management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile/Scrum) would be highly desirable Any relevant data management or migration certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Data Engineer Associate, Informatica, SAP Data Services) would be a distinct advantage. Proficiency in test management tools (e.g. JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM, Azure DevOps) is preferred. Experience with data migration tools and technologies (e.g. SQL, ETL tools, data loaders, scripting languages like Python or PowerShell) would be an advantage. Familiarity with test automation frameworks and performance testing tools is highly desirable.
