Business Development Executive – Europe

An exciting opportunity for a proactive and commercially aware Business Development Executive to join a leading international law firm. This position sits within a collaborative global team, focusing on business development initiatives across European markets.
The role offers broad exposure across practice areas such as Corporate, Disputes, Competition, and Finance. You’ll support strategic client and referral partner initiatives, contribute to cross-border business planning, and work directly with senior stakeholders on a variety of high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and implement strategic BD plans and campaigns for key European jurisdictions.
* Coordinate and contribute to firmwide initiatives such as client events, roundtables, webinars, and bilateral meetings.
* Conduct research to support relationship-building with law firms and clients, preparing briefing documents and analysis.
* Assist in developing business plans, using both internal and external data sources to guide decision-making.
* Collaborate with partners and senior BD colleagues to progress jurisdictional and practice-based objectives.
* Work on pitches and credentials, supporting client meetings in collaboration with the Pitch team.
* Help manage client relationship data and support the firm’s CRM programme.
* Ensure accurate maintenance of BD systems, including tracking client activity and engagement.
* Contribute to the creation and distribution of client-facing content and marketing collateral.
* Support alumni engagement and initiatives such as overseas secondee programmes.
Skills Required:
* Prior experience in business development or marketing within legal or professional services.
* A strong academic background or equivalent professional experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence liaising with senior stakeholders.
* Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
* High attention to detail, with strong analytical and writing abilities.
* A proactive, team-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
