Job Summary
GP post based at Nova Scotia Medical Centre, Allerton Bywater, Castleford, WF10 2DP.
We are seeking a committed GP to join our positive, collaborative team. This role involves four sessions per week and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to patient care within a supportive and forward‑thinking environment.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality primary care services, including managing acute, chronic and complex conditions.
* Provide telephone, online and face‑to‑face consultations.
* Support long‑term condition management.
* Conduct home visits when required.
* Contribute to governance, QOF achievement and practice development.
* Work collaboratively with the wider practice and PCN team.
* Prescribe as per local and national guidelines.
* Take responsibility for appropriate referrals following local guidance and good medical practice.
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of consultations using S1 clinical systems.

Job Details
Salary: Starting at £10,000 per session per annum (TBD based on experience).
Contract: Permanent.
Working pattern: Part‑time, four sessions per week.
Hours: 08:00 to 18:30, flexible based on service needs.
Accountable to: Lead GP Partner.
Qualifications & Experience
* MRCGP qualification.
* Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
* Full GMC registration.
* Eligibility to practice in the UK independently.
* Registered on the NHS England medical performers list.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Proficiency in using clinical IT systems.
* Strong clinical skills, evidence‑based approach to patient care.
* Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
Desirable
* Experience working within a busy practice alongside a multidisciplinary team.
Person Specification
* UK registration required (MRCGP, CCT, GMC, NHS England list).
* Full DBS check – subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
* Competent and confident in delivering primary care across modalities (telephone, online, face‑to‑face).
* Strong commitment to GMC standards for good medical practice.
