Overview
Process Operator (Chemical) – £37,900 – 3x Shift (Earlies/Lates/Nights) – Widnes. gap technical are proud to represent this global manufacturing business in their search for a Process Technician to work at their facility based near Widnes.
Responsibilities
* Operating a variety of chemical plant and equipment
* Following detailed process instructions and completion of process records
* Control / troubleshooting of multiple production processes
* Includes simple in-process analytical testing
* Involves regular manual handling of chemicals
* Involves periodic decontamination of equipment for statutory inspections
* undertake First Aid training
* Participate in the site Emergency Response team
* Participate in process and EHS improvements
Person Specification / Qualifications
* NVQ2 or equivalent
* Previous Loader/Operator experience preferably Shift worker
* COMAH Experience advantageous
* Basic numeracy and literacy essential
* Basic computer skills advantageous
* Counterbalance FLT licence advantageous
* Lean Manufacturing knowledge (5S, Kaizen & 7 wastes) advantageous
* Experience in the chemical industry is not vital but a manufacturing background would be advantageous
