Overview
We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Prescribing Paramedic to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care, supporting safe and effective prescribing, and improving patient outcomes across a range of clinical services.
Responsibilities
* Conduct patient consultations and clinical assessments
* Prescribe medications safely and appropriately as an Independent Prescriber
* Perform structured medication reviews and medicines optimisation
* Support management of chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and COPD
* Monitor treatment effectiveness and manage side effects or medication changes
* Provide advice and education to patients regarding medicines and treatment plans
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
* Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with professional standards
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives

The team is made up of experienced GPs, practice nurses, healthcare assistants, reception staff, administrators, pharmacists, and allied healthcare professionals who work closely together to deliver high-quality care to the local community. The Prescribing Paramedic will work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to assess patients, manage long-term conditions, conduct medication reviews, and prescribe within their scope of practice. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering patient‑centred care.
