We’re currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Contractually based out of our Portsmouth office, this is a full-time position working 37 hours per week. This role requires attendance in the office two days per week, specifically on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Here are the facts about the role:
As Procurement Manager, you’ll be the subject matter expert for procurement across all purchasing categories. You’ll support the business in its procurement activity; demonstrating a partnering approach to advise and guide on market trends, procurement strategy, tendering, contract award, implementation and management. And ensuring that supplier assurance processes sufficiently manage risk and drive efficiency.
The role will lead on above regulated threshold procurement activity within the procurement team, ensuring full compliance with the Procurement Act 2023. Acting as a subject matter expert, you’ll support the delivery aspects of the revised procurement legislation introduced through the Procurement Bill and its reforms. Responsibility for maintaining the contracts register sits within this role and is critical to the successful delivery of the procurement plan, with oversight of ensuring the register is kept accurate and up to date by the team.
The successful candidate will have experience running above‑threshold regulated tenders within the public sector and demonstrate strong knowledge of procurement legislation. The role requires proven experience in category management, delivering organisation‑wide projects, using e‑tendering systems, specifically Intend and ProContract, and producing clear, accurate reports.
This role requires a driving licence with a car available for business use.
