You’ll support site security, daily maintenance, and uphold high health and safety standards while promoting the welfare of all pupils and staff. Salary: £12,480 a year (based on £8 an hour), salary increase after the first year, provided you are 19 Hours: 30 hours per week Duration: 12 months Level 2 Facilities Operative Apprenticeship standard qualification Online training and support by our dedicated tutors Address: Mill Lane, Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, EN8 0JU Duties Site security. To lock/unlock the site as required. To ensure that the perimeter is secure and that the access gates are locked/unlocked as necessary. Cleaning. To deal with any spills, leaks, unexpected areas of cleaning as they arise ensuring that the correct chemicals are used and signage put in place when necessary. To empty bins, litter pick and sweep to maintain a clean site internally and externally. To undertake minor repairs as capable and directed. To undertake more major projects in the school holidays including, but not limited to, decorating and more time consuming tasks. To distribute deliveries around the school. Undertake regular checks and clean the minibuses. Ensure that services take place on a regular basis. To support to maintain Health and Safety records. To attend relevant training courses as required. To participate in marketing and liaison activities such as open evening and liaison events with schools and community organisations.
