An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our UHD Urology Service. This is a new post, seeking applicants with a background in Urology who are innovative and visionary, to work with clinicians and lead our urology specialist nursing teams.
The successful candidate will develop new pathways, transform services, oversee and deliver the fast track prostate service, and drive high-quality patient care.
Requirements: Active professional registration with a relevant professional body.
Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
Interview Date: TBC.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for rapid assessment, diagnostics, and treatment within Urology, using advanced professional accountability, autonomy, and judgement, supported by Masters level theory and experience, including complex decision-making and synthesising information for evidence-based diagnoses.
2. Provide leadership to Urology ACP, ECP, and CNS teams, and collaborate to determine team workload priorities.
3. Plan and manage complete episodes of care in collaboration with consultants and others, ensuring effective management and optimal health outcomes.
4. Develop and lead clinical pathways and service flow improvements proactively.
5. Work with the MDT to deliver high-quality services within performance and financial frameworks.
6. Promote service development and redesign based on current evidence and values-based care.
7. Develop, deliver, and evaluate specialist education and training for individuals and groups, including the wider MDT.
