Job Description:
I am currently looking for a Business Development Director for a global full-service clinical Contract Research Organization with a strong reputation, stable client base, and consistent growth. This is a newly created, individual sales contributor role working remotely in the UK/western European territory. You will be responsible for securing new business and managing accounts within pharma, biotech, and medical device companies across various therapeutic areas including oncology, CNS, renal, and rare diseases. A hunter mentality and a strong network in the region are essential, along with a proven sales track record selling CRO solutions.
Your responsibilities include:
* Achieving sales and business development targets
* Developing and implementing business strategies for target markets
* Prospecting to build a pipeline of opportunities and RFPs
* Using Salesforce to track client activities and opportunities
* Leading sales processes and proposal development
* Redefining profitable market niches based on evidence
* Supporting marketing strategies with input from the team
* Developing sales targets and plans with leadership
* Supporting pre-sales activities and resource securing
* Engaging with agents and consultants in other regions
* Collaborating with research staff to maximize selling opportunities
* Attending conferences and trade shows to generate business
