Engineering Manager - Buchan
Joining bonus of £2,000 and a generous relocation package to the right candidate.
Fancy leading a team of engineers who maintain and repair a diverse fleet of vehicles, as well as managing plant and buildings? You will develop your engineering team to enhance their skills, passing on technical knowledge to both experienced technicians and apprentices alike. We’re looking for an experienced engineer to join and lead our engineering team at our Buchan depots based in Peterhead.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of professionals who maintain and repair a fleet of around 45 buses and coaches, with the opportunity to manage buildings and equipment.
* Provide daily support, advice and management to the team to ensure high standards of vehicle presentation and reliability.
* Take ownership of resource management, stock control, recruitment, training, and health & safety.
* Order, manage inventory, recruit, train and develop staff; contribute to continuous improvement across the depot.
* Support progression and development pathways, including potential advancement toward Chief Engineer with exposure to senior leadership.
Qualifications
* Experience in a related field (e.g., truck / light commercial / rail) in an engineering setting. Bus background is not mandatory but acceptable.
* People management experience; you should be able to evidence managing teams of any size.
