Overview
This role provides a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to undertake scientific research in battery sensing, development, characterisation and modelling.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary, multi-institutional collaboration funded by the Faraday Institution. Academic partners in the project include Imperial College, London and the universities of Birmingham, Oxford, Southampton, Portsmouth, Bristol.
Requirements
* PhD in a relevant subject, and experience of the theory and practice of sensor development, battery modelling and testing.
* Ideally, experience of battery development including the experimental assessment / characterisation of battery and/or novel sensing technologies.
* Excellent communication skills, be flexible, and be able to work independently and as part of a research team with diverse skills and backgrounds.
* Undertaken complimentary research or development in one or more of the above areas and be able to demonstrate capability through appropriate academic experience/publication.
