This is a full-time permanent role. This is ahybrid role with requirement for travel within the UK for events.
About the role
This role is an essential part of the Conference and Events team, you will work across a number of events from conception to completion, and ensuring smooth-running of the team and department. You will support the Events Project Manager in the leadership of the Conference and Events Team; helping to steer activity, ensuring objectives are met and impact is measured and reported.
Responsibilities:
* Support in the deliver of high quality physical, virtual and hybrid events within costs and budgets.
* Report on impact of events by gathering data and feedback.
* Delivery a portfolio of internal events, workshops and webinars to assist with stakeholder events.
* Evaluate customer journeys to implement improvements which enhance the delegate experience.
* Establish, maintain and manage relationships with suppliers, venues, delegates, and internal and external colleagues and stakeholders.
* Take on line management responsibilities for more junior members of the team.
* Deliver events within the principles of ISO 20121 (Sustainable Event Management) in mind, or in accordance to the standards.
* Support on all activities leading up to and on the day of events, as required.
* Support stakeholders with content production for events, meetings, sourcing speakers and suggesting discussion topics and content.
* Keep track of cost and budgets and ensure these are tracked in line with Finance and sector team budgets.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
* Excellent events experience, across virtual, hybrid and in person.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Great stakeholder and delegate engagement and management skills.
* Previous experience managing suppliers for events of varying sizes.
* Existing knowledge of event management software would be advantageous.
* Knowledge and understanding of ISO 20121 – Sustainable Event Management is desirable.
