Your Role: Machinist
As a Machinist at DPC, you will play a crucial role in our operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Setting up and operating both computer numerically controlled and manual machines.
* Reading process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements.
* Locating and downloading programs from a DNC storage system.
* Identifying, selecting, and installing the proper tooling for various operations.
* Calculating feeds and speeds for different materials, including steel, copper, and aluminum.
* Performing quality inspections and adhering to applicable quality systems.
* Engaging in Continuous Improvement activities to enhance productivity.
* Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and machining disciplines.
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a lean-manufacturing environment.
* Experience with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, and Haas.
* Proficiency in precision inspection equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
* A strong commitment to safety and quality.
* Self-motivation and the ability to inspire and facilitate teamwork.
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to work rotating Day/Back/Night shifts. We value a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and we encourage our employees to actively participate in enhancing our processes.
