What Your Days Will Look Like
* Monitor independence risks across private equity groups, including changes from investments, divestments, and restructuring.
* Apply independence rules (FRC, SEC, Global Policy) to private equity structures across multiple jurisdictions.
* Advise teams and partners on independence issues for complex relationships and portfolio companies.
* Lead and document independence assessments for private equity clients, covering services, relationships, and investments.
* Communicate confidently with senior stakeholders, providing clear guidance and delivering difficult messages when required.
* Support training and knowledge‑sharing initiatives for teams working with private equity clients.
* Refine internal policies, procedures, and tools to strengthen independence compliance.
The Role Is For You If
* You have a working knowledge of private equity structures, audit processes, and independence regulations (FRC, SEC, GIP, etc.).
* You have proven analytical, organisational, and project‑management skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and manage detailed information accurately.
* You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to deliver clear, sometimes challenging messages and interact effectively at all levels.
* You have strong relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, support, and empathise with client‑facing practitioners.
* You are a conscientious, ambitious team player, demonstrating strong self‑management and the ability to take initiative in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
* You have experience in coaching and supporting colleagues, with a collaborative approach to problem‑solving and strong people‑management capabilities.
