Innovation Pathways Relationship Manager

Are you a proactive, tenacious and highly motivated individual seeking to work as part of a diverse team to support the delivery of the Innovation Pathways (In-Path) programme - an exciting new project in West Yorkshire?
In-Path will facilitate collaboration and forge partnerships between academia and health innovation and digital technology businesses. The programme will mobilise the health-tech eco-system to maximise impact, foster innovation, accelerate the development of new health technologies and bridge the gap between academic research and real-world applications in the health, care and wellbeing sector.
With a business-centred approach, the In-Path team will help optimise opportunities through the portfolio of innovation support within the West Yorkshire Investment Zone and the established mechanisms for driving innovation utilised by universities.
Although this post will be hosted at the University of Leeds, the post will be expected to utilise the full range of business support that is available across the whole of the region’s innovation ecosystem, not just the support that is available within our universities.
To this end, as well as having exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management experience it is essential that the successful candidate has a strong track record of ascertaining and understanding individual business needs and challenges, not just those that can be solved by universities. Applicants should have thorough knowledge of appropriate opportunities and interventions which support academic and industry engagement and collaboration with a robust understanding of the regional landscape and funding ecosystem.
This is one of four Relationship Manager roles that will work across West Yorkshire to promote the support and expertise available through the university partners (Bradford, Huddersfield, Leeds and Leeds Beckett), and more broadly across the region, to help accelerate business innovation and growth.
