The Role We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced
Class 2 Shunter
to join the team at
DHL (DN3 site)
on a 4 on / 4 off day shift pattern.
This role involves operating
Class 2 units
to move
demountable boxes
into an automated system on site. The position requires a high level of
carefulness, accuracy, and attention to detail, as correct placement and precise vehicle movements are critical to the smooth operation of the automated process.
Key Responsibilities
Shunting Class 2 vehicles safely around site Moving demountable boxes into designated loading points Positioning units accurately within an automated system Carrying out daily vehicle checks Following strict health & safety procedures Communicating effectively with yard and warehouse teams Requirements
Valid
Class 2 (Category C) licence Valid
CPC & Digital Tachograph card Previous shunting or yard experience preferred Strong awareness of health & safety High attention to detail and ability to work with precision Reliable and punctual What’s on Offer
