Second in Mathematics / KS3 Numeracy Lead

Location: Brownhills, West Midlands

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Salary: £32,916.00 – £51,048.00 Annually (Actual)

MPS/UPS Pay Scales + TLR 2b £5,873

The Role

Colmore Education are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Brownhills to recruit an ambitious Second in Mathematics to lead on KS3 Numeracy.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths teacher or aspiring middle leader who is ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the KS3 Mathematics and Numeracy curriculum, ensuring a smooth transition into KS4 and supporting continued improvement across the department.

The Successful Candidate Will:

Have high expectations of themselves, their students, and the wider school community

Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics

*

Be committed to raising standards of teaching, learning and achievement across KS3 and KS4

*

Lead on the development and implementation of the KS3 Numeracy strategy, promoting consistency and challenge across all year groups

*

Support and motivate colleagues as a key member of the Maths leadership team

*

Possess excellent organisational and time management skills

*

Have experience of, or the drive to develop, leadership and management skills within an educational setting

*

Be confident using Microsoft Office and data analysis tools to track and enhance student progress

*

Work effectively as part of a collaborative team and contribute positively to the wider school community
