We are recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading contractor delivering a high-quality office-to-apartment conversion in Angel, Central London. This is a technically challenging, design-focused project involving structural reconfiguration, high-spec finishes, and detailed refurbishment work.
You'll be joining an experienced commercial team with strong pipeline, modern processes, and a collaborative approach to delivery.
This role would suit a QS with refurbishment or cut-and-carve experience who is looking for a project with real substance and long-term progression.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Management
* Manage multiple work packages from procurement through to final account
* Conduct accurate cost planning, forecasting, and monthly CVRs
* Prepare, negotiate, and agree variations
* Monitor and report on project commercial performance
Procurement & Subcontractor Management
* Issue tender packages and analyse returns
* Negotiate and appoint subcontractors
* Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, and payments
Experience & Requirements
Essential:
* Experience working as a QS within construction
* Strong background in refurbishment projects
* Knowledge of JCT contracts
* Ability to manage packages independently
* Strong financial and analytical skills
