We’re working with a highly technical, close-knit engineering company, who design and deliver bespoke electrical and control systems for customers worldwide. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their projects and controls team.
This is a largely office-based role, focused on PLC programming and project delivery, with international travel of approximately 4–10 weeks per year in total.
The Role
You’ll be working as part of a collaborative internal engineering team, taking responsibility for PLC programming, commissioning, and customer-facing technical support. Projects are varied and technically interesting.
Key responsibilities include:
* PLC programming, fault finding, and modification
* Working with HMI and SCADA systems
* Supporting projects from design through to commissioning
* Electrical and mechanical commissioning on customer sites
* Providing technical support to international customers
* Liaising closely with internal engineering, project, and workshop teams
* Representing the company professionally when on-site with customers
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in PLC programming (Allen Bradley / Rockwell Studio 5000 ideal, but not essential)
* Background in electrical control systems (single & three-phase)
* Exposure to HMI and SCADA systems
* Ability to read and work with AutoCAD electrical drawings
* Comfortable in a customer-facing role
* Happy to travel internationally when required
