Description The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project currently involves the planning, design and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water’s region. The SPA Alliance is also taking on responsibility for the future interconnector pipelines, a further 260km of strategic interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure. This role is hybrid and will initially be for a fixed term period until the end of the 2026. LI-KP1 Responsibilities Design Integrate health and safety considerations into all CAD processes, ensuring safe and maintainable systems. Understand and use specifications, installation details, supplier details, and datasheets for various pipe types and applications. Verify that connection details comply with industry standards and WIMES. Model pipe and duct routes, as directed by the design engineer. Health & Safety Drive a culture of continuous improvement in Health & Safety (H&S), ensuring consistent H&S standards are maintained. Ensure completion of a full Induction to H&S in accordance with Company policies, procedures, standards &/or guidance. Design Management Ensure your work is carried out in accordance with the agreed timescales and effort and advise the Technical Manager of any deviation as soon as it occurs. Ensure your work has alignment with Alliance data management and BIM procedures, meeting the required data and model maturity levels. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating feedback and industry best practices into the BIM model. Collaboration Work closely with other SPA disciplines to ensure the project objectives are met. Participate in regular project and discipline team meetings. Support creating a positive and fulfilling environment, where everyone is respected and heard, treated equally, recognised, and diversity is embraced. Quality Control Check the quality of finished drawing and models from your own output and work with your team ensuring ouput is completed to a high standard. Ensure drawing and models adhere to CAD Standards and BEP maintaining highest levels of quality of control. Promote, monitor and have ownership of quality of the drawings and models being delivered by you & your teams. Identify and record issues in models and drawings to the project teams via the current digital systems. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Good IT skills. Proven problem-solving capability Encourage, support and collaborate with a range of different CAD Team members Be open to new technologies & procedures. To be willing to undertake extensive further training specific to the role Good understanding of ISO 1965 Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Recap, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) Qualifications An engineering diploma, degree, or equivalent. Working towards professional status, with a relevant institution. Awareness of the latest relevant standards affecting engineering delivers e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 19650, PAS 1192 etc
