We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for an experienced and passionate Fitness & Wellbeing Advisor to join our Wellbeing and Fitness Team. We are committed to supporting our operational colleagues, and physical fitness plays a critical role in ensuring their readiness to respond to emergencies safely and effectively. In this role, you will take pride in delivering high-quality support to colleagues across the Service. You will work closely with Firefighters and operational staff, conducting regular fitness assessments, providing tailored wellbeing guidance, and delivering engaging education and training initiatives. You will balance your time between regular assessments and proactive prevention-based work to help individuals achieve and maintain high levels of fitness. Key responsibilities include: Leading on Firefighter fitness testing throughout the as part of the annual assessment and recruitment process Supporting colleagues returning to work following injury or absence Designing interactive training packages and health-focused programmes Delivering awareness and education sessions across watches and stations Collaborating with Wellbeing Partners, Occupational Health, and Communications teams to ensure holistic support across the organisation What to expect from us: 26 days annual holiday (plus public holidays) rising to 30 days after 5 years, and 31 days after 10 years of service Local Government Pension – Defined Benefit Scheme Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme Cycle to Work scheme Welfare and Wellbeing services Staff Networks Access to Westfield Health Supplementary Healthcare package.
