Join to apply for the Swimming Instructor role at WMJobs. The position is casual, with a weekly pay of £14.82 per hour (excluding holiday pay) enhanced to £16.64 per hour (including holiday pay). You will work weekdays, evenings, and weekends at Kingsbury Leisure Centre, Kingsbury School.
Role Overview
You will support primary school lessons and private swimming lessons, with abilities ranging from beginners to advanced. Kingsbury Leisure Centre runs its own swimming lesson scheme, assessing children using Swim England distance badges and water skills badges.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and assess swimming lessons for primary school pupils and private learners.
* Set up, prepare and keep swimming equipment tidy during and after lessons.
* Administer registers, assess for badges and communicate with parents/carers and school teachers.
* Work with other swimming teachers and lifeguards, following safe working practices in the pool.
* Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Current NRASTC qualification, renewed to the necessary timeframe.
* Level 2 teaching swimming qualification (SEQ Level 2, STA Level 2 Award/Certificate).
* Knowledge of safe working practices within a swimming pool is desired.
* Good communication skills with learners, parents/carers and school teachers.
* Experience of teaching swimming lessons to a range of abilities.
