General Manager – Country Pub & Inn | South West £50,000 | Full-time | 7-shift rota | January start
We’re recruiting a General Manager to lead a well-established countryside pub & inn with strong local trade, seasonal menus, and a genuine community feel.
This role would also suit an experienced Restaurant Manager or Assistant General Manager who is ready to step up into full GM responsibility.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the pub & inn, ensuring a consistently warm guest experience while leading from the floor.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading all daily operations
Managing FOH teams, rotas, onboarding, and standards
Overseeing bar, dining room, and guest experience
Stock control, ordering, budgeting, and suppliers
Maintaining hygiene, safety, and compliance
Acting as the face of the venue within the local community
The Ideal Profile
Proven General Manager experience, or RM / AGM ready to step up
Background in pubs, inns, dining-led pub restaurants, or premium casual dining
Natural leader who builds positive culture and develops teams
Strong understanding of rotas, costs, and guest relations
Calm, personable, and standards-led approach
Ideally lives within commuting distance or has access to a car due to countryside location
This is a role for someone who enjoys countryside hospitality, values community over volume, and takes pride in creating a welcoming, well-run venue.
