HGV Class 1 (C+E) Shunter Driver – Banbury
£16.00 per hour | Monday to Friday | Day Shifts | Immediate Start
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Shunter Driver to join a busy logistics operation based in Banbury. This is a Monday to Friday role with day shifts, offering consistent hours and a competitive hourly rate.
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Location: Banbury
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday – Day shifts
The Role
As a yard shunter, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the depot, ensuring trailers are moved safely and efficiently around the site.
Your duties will include:
1. Shunting trailers between bays and parking areas
2. Moving vehicles within the yard safely and efficiently
3. Liaising with warehouse and transport teams
4. Conducting basic vehicle safety checks
5. Maintaining a safe and organised yard environment
Requirements
6. Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
7. Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
8. Previous shunting or yard experience preferred
9. Strong awareness of health and safety
10. Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic
