Position Purpose
Brambles has a clear and well-established corporate strategy which has delivered strong performance over many years; however, this strategy is continually evolving to ensure ongoing success and alignment with changing customer needs. The strategy team is small, and its members have extensive exposure to Brambles’ Global Strategy, Innovation, and Customer Experience leadership team; and to wider Brambles Leadership (ELT/c-suite and other senior stakeholders) across the business. Reporting directly to the Group Strategy Director, this role is responsible for ensuring that the Brambles Group strategy and the strategic programs that underpin it are rigorously developed, continually evolved, and effectively executed.

1. Number of Countries: Global (65)
2. Number of Locations: All Brambles locations (500+)
Key Accountabilities
3. Gather and analyze data and lead thinking to inform and shape the future direction of Brambles’ business.
4. Own, drive, and support critical enterprise-wide initiatives to support the delivery of our strategic plan and bring us closer to our strategic objectives.
5. Build strong relationships with colleagues – including senior executives - in corporate functions, business units, and the group customer experience and innovation teams, to shape our strategy and the initiatives that will deliver it
6. Co-ordinate Brambles’ annual strategy planning process, advising our CEO and Executive Leadership Team on the strategic priorities and objectives across the business.
7. This role requires exceptional problem-solving capabilities. It will involve structuring, analysisng and solving highly sophisticated, complex, and controversial problems; find novel potential solutions; and articulate these clearly and concisely to an executive audience.

17. Strong quantitative analysis and modelling skills
18. Possess credibility as a leader in strategic, financial and operational discussions with internal stakeholders.
19. A deep understanding of how businesses work with the ability to see the big picture and manage the business taking into account a wide variety of metrics
Experience and Qualifications
20. Undergraduate/further degree or equivalent relevant work experience (Essential)
21. Domain-specific qualifications (e.g. in IT/CX) useful but hands-on experience likely more relevant (as below) (Desirable)
22. MBA or other business-related degree (Advantageous)
23. 5-10 years of relevant work experience
24. At least 2 years either in a consulting role at a top consulting firm or in the strategy team of a relevant organisation (supply chain, logistics, consumer goods, or retail), with demonstrable and consistent high performance and outcomes
25. Useful (but not essential) areas of experience/knowledge include: logistics, supply chain, retail, e-commerce, consumer goods, strategy, M&A, pricing, new business development, customer experience, digital
26. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of organizations and understand and appreciate the organizational, cultural, and economic nuances of doing business on a global scale.
